Fibershed is advancing the development and sustaining nature of place-based fiber systems through focusing on three key areas:

  1. Healthy soils & carbon farming
  2. Agro-ecological research for bast fiber, and
  3. Education and outreach to build skills, awareness, and demand for regionally farmed fiber goods.

Our public education and community building programs are designed to deepen and expand the vibrant social web that is generated by our events, workshops, and symposia — all of which are focused on building an educated  community that values and promotes soil-to-soil fiber systems.

Below are educational resources as well as Fibershed workshops and events, past and present. Click on the images to read more. And visit our Calendar for current event listings.
